Plastering Services

At South Coast Builders we offer a full range of plastering services.  These are available for private residential properties as well as commercial or public premises.  Whether you need plastering for an interior wall, ceiling or exterior wall, our expert plasterers will be able to do a high quality job at low prices. 

Whatever plastering work you need done, we will be able to provide it.  Here is a selection of the plastering jobs which we do, but please note this is not an exhaustive list so please feel free to call or email if you need any other sort of plastering work to be done, whether it is listed here or not.

Solid Plastering – This technique is available to be applied to internal walls, ceilings or exterior walls.  It involves a wet process which will give an excellent finish to any sort of wall or ceiling, of any shape or size.  For external walls this gives a protective coat.  It can also be applied to achieve ornamental decorative displays.  We will listen closely to what you are looking for and execute it to a high quality finish. 

Dry Lining – An alternative to the solid plastering technique is dry lining.  This is an easier and faster method, which dries more quickly than solid plastering.  The technique involves applying a plasterboard to the surface in question, and then smoothing it over as a finish.  A good option when time is a factor and you need to get on to additional painting and decorating jobs quickly.

Exterior and Interior Rendering – Stucco plastering, applied to exterior walls, can imitate the look of stonework or be pebbledashed to create an attractive look.  Plaster can also be applied to internal walls and sanded for a smooth surface.

Venetian Plastering – This is a finishing method, for the final layer of plaster.  It can create an illusion of texture and depth, adding a sense of elegance to the surface of the wall.  There are a variety of different options when it comes to Venetian plastering, on which we will be happy to advise you if you have any questions.

Other applications which plastering can be made to achieve are:

• Damp proofing
• Texture coating
• Repairing or replacing previous plastering
